What happens when you run it

About ten minutes, start to finish.

In your account, you enter your website and your market. The audit does the rest by itself, and emails you when your report is ready.

Your website

It loads your homepage twice, then reads the files search engines read.

Once as your server sends it and once as a browser draws it, so nothing hidden behind scripts is missed. Then robots.txt, your sitemaps and your security headers.

Google PageSpeed

It times your site on Google's own speed test.

Lighthouse runs on mobile and on desktop, the way Google scores your pages. This is the slow part of the audit: three to four minutes.

Your website

It reads every page a visitor can reach.

Titles, headings, descriptions, links and forms, page by page. Anything behind a login or a search box is left out, and the report says so.

DataForSEO

It finds the searches your customers make, in their language.

The searches are planned for your market, then checked against Google's own numbers: how often each one is searched every month, and who ranks for it.

DataForSEO and Firecrawl

It picks the four businesses that outrank you, and reads them.

Directories and marketplaces are set aside. The four real competitors are read page by page and compared with you on rankings, content and the websites that link to them.

Your report

It writes your report, and names what every finding was measured with.

Thirteen sections, each finding rated for how much it matters and how much work it is. We email you the moment it's ready, so you can close the window.

What you get

Every finding comes with its proof.

Every finding names what it was measured with, how much it matters and how much work it is. Quick wins are ranked by severity divided by effort, so you know where to start on Monday.

What's behind it

The homepage weighs 4.1 MB on a phone, most of it one photo at the top of the page. Sizing that photo for phones would bring the page into the good range.

Inside the report

Thirteen sections, in the order you'll read them.

Each one says why it matters, what we checked and what we found. These pages are from an example report.

  1. 01Business OverviewGood
    Why this matters

Whether the site reads as a real, maintained business, not an unfinished template.

What we checked: a crawl of 14 internally linked pages plus the sitemap, raw and rendered.

StrengthAll 14 scanned pages show visitors original copy, with no placeholder or theme-demo filler
  2. 02Website & User ExperienceOpportunity
    Why this matters

How easy the site is to use on a phone, including for visitors who rely on a screen reader.

What we checked: Google PageSpeed Insights (Lighthouse), mobile and desktop.

MediumMobile accessibility score is 81/100low effort
  3. 03Branding & MessagingGood
    Why this matters

Shown so a clean result reads as checked, not as left out.

What we checked: the visible text of every rendered page, for placeholder or template copy.

PassedEvery check for this section passed on this run, so there is nothing to fix here.
  4. 04Technical SEOPriority
    Why this matters

Search engines rely on the title, the headings and structured data to understand what a page is about.

What we checked: the homepage as served and as a browser draws it, and every sitemap it declares.

HighThe homepage has no H1trivial effort3.0
  5. 05Content & On-Page SEOOpportunity
    Why this matters

The description is what a searcher reads before deciding whether to click.

What we checked: the metadata of all 14 published pages, and Google's results for four tracked searches.

High14 of 14 published pages have no meta descriptionlow effort1.5
  6. 06PerformanceOpportunity
    Why this matters

People looking for a plumber in a hurry search on a phone. A slow page loses some of them before it loads.

What we checked: Google PageSpeed Insights API v5 (Lighthouse), mobile and desktop, lab metrics.

    HighMobile Largest Contentful Paint is 4.8s (1.9x the 2.5s good threshold)medium effort1.0
  7. 07Analytics & TrackingNeeds access
    Why this matters

Without measurement you can't tell which searches and pages turn into calls.

What we checked: the tags in the homepage's HTML, raw and rendered.

NoteA GA4 tag is installed; the numbers behind it need access to your account
  8. 08Local SEOPriority
    Why this matters

A verified Business Profile is what puts a local business in the map results.

What we checked: DataForSEO Business Data, a Google Business Profile lookup in the United Kingdom.

HighNo Google Business Profile found for "Sample Plumbing"low effort1.5
  9. 09Backlinks & AuthorityOpportunity
    Why this matters

Links from other websites are a trust signal to search engines, and your competitors have more of them.

What we checked: the DataForSEO backlinks summary for you and four competitors, same index, same day.

Medium23 referring domains against a comparable competitor median of 78medium effort
  10. 10Social Media AuditNeeds access
    Why this matters

The profiles your site links to are part of how people check you out before they call.

What we checked: the homepage, raw and rendered, for links to social profiles.

NotePlatforms linked from the homepage: facebook, instagram. Account activity is not assessable without profile access
  11. 11Conversion OptimisationOpportunity
    Why this matters

A visitor ready to book needs a way to reach you from the page they're already on.

Questions

Before you start.

What is a launch seat?

We're opening the Digital Growth Audit to 20 businesses first, free. A seat is one full audit of one website in one market. Claim one with your email: your account opens straight away, and we email you a link to set your password.

Does the audit start when I claim my seat?

No. Claiming a seat opens your account, with one audit in it. You start the audit from your account, whenever you're ready: enter your website and your market, and your report is ready about ten minutes later.

What if I don't set my password?

Your seat is yours for 72 hours. If the password isn't set by then, the seat goes back to the next business. Didn't get the email? Check your spam folder, or claim the seat again with the same email and we'll send a fresh link.

How long does the audit take?

About ten minutes from the moment you start it in your account. Most of that is Google measuring your speed on mobile and desktop, and us reading your competitors. We email you when it's ready, so you can close the window.

Do you need access to my Google Analytics?

No. The audit uses public data: your website, Google's speed tests, search results and your competitors' pages. Connecting your own Analytics and Search Console is coming, and will add your real visitor numbers.

Can I audit a website that isn't mine?

Yes. A seat covers one website in one market, and it doesn't have to be yours: a competitor, a client, or a business you're thinking of buying. You choose it when you start the audit.

What language is the report in?

English. The search research follows your market and its language, so you're measured on the searches your own customers make.

What happens to my email?

It opens your account: we email you a one-time link to set your password, and tell you when your report is ready. A copy of your request reaches our team at team@coreconcepts.design, so a person can help if anything goes wrong.

Know what to fix first.
