The Color Run is an iconic 5K event series that celebrates fun, color, and community. With vibrant visuals, music, and energetic atmospheres at each stop, it’s more than a race—it's a festival. We were brought on to take an existing Figma design and convert it into a fully responsive WordPress + Elementor website, giving fans an immersive, joyful experience feeding the excitement of upcoming events.
Challenge & Solution
The client’s key goals were to rally registration (tickets), build emotional connection with participants, communicate event dates & locations clearly, and encapsulate the vibrant Color Run vibe online. Because the design was already complete in Figma, the challenge was to translate that into a living website—preserving the energy, animations, countdowns, visuals, and brand consistency—while ensuring good performance, responsiveness, and usability.
We converted the Figma design into a WordPress site using Elementor, retaining all design detail, animations, and visual flair. Countdown timers for upcoming events, high-impact imagery, vibrant color zones, registration CTAs, newsletter signup forms, FAQ & event pages were all built to mirror the Figma mockups. The site was also structured to drive event registrations and keep users engaged with visuals and info.
Our Process
Following our proven framework, we:
- Discover – Reviewed the provided Figma designs thoroughly to understand intended animations, layout nuances, branding, and the user path from landing → event registration.
- Design Adaptation – Worked from the client-supplied Figma files, mapping visual components (color blocks, hero images, overlays) and interactions into Elementor’s framework.
- Development – Built the site on WordPress + Elementor, implementing modules for countdowns, event pages, galleries, registration buttons, and newsletter subscriptions.
- Refinement – Tested across devices & browsers to ensure the vibrancy and animations worked properly; optimized images, cleaned up CSS/JS to avoid lag; iterated based on feedback to polish user flow.
